Sensor-controlled bevelling system for automated welding seam preparation with plain steel plates. The stable portal construction including an application-oriented design of the cutter head supports all types of top side or bottom side cuts with a sensor-controlled edge tracking. A laser camera measures the workpiece position and tracks the edges, maintaining selected cutting torch heights with a tolerance of +/- 0,5 mm even with plate heat distortion.

Using specially developed software, required bevels are defined by simply clicking on them in a digital component drawing and specifying geometry parameters required.
